After Discovery

There are two possible courses of action after discovery is completed. The first and best is settlement. In settlement you and your spouse control the outcome.

The second possible course of action is to submit some or all matters to trial. For every hour in trial your attorney will need to spend 2 hours in preparation.

A typical contested divorce takes between two and three eight hour days of trial. Going to trial, you are betting that the judge will hate your spouse and love you. When the probability is that the judge will think you are both loosers.
